Partnerships

CSS is proud to partner with Ninja, Thrive, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan for this mental health and wellbeing-focused resource for young people, Time Out. Special thanks to graduate students Benjamin Kaveladze and Tom Kim and supervisors Katie Salen and Stephen Schueller for their contributions to this work.

CSS is proud to partner with Wondermind to provide research-backed mental health advice to help promote well-being, reduce stigma, and offer support.

U.S. Surgeon General’s Office

CSS will build on the Youth Mental Health Advisory released by the U.S. Surgeon General’s office and employ communication and narrative change strategies more proactively than prior community change initiatives had done—or have been able to do. The goal is for CSS to develop and frame this important issue in a manner that changes public opinion on mental health, seeking to influence and shape public opinion as a prerequisite for changing state and federal policies. We also seek to employ strategic partnerships with the media and entertainment industry that support a youth-led campaign around mental health as an emotional appeal to eliminate the stigma associated with this issue.
