Gen Z and Gen Alpha - Q&A About Media, Winter 2020

These interviews were completed for Dr. Yalda T. Uhls’ undergraduate class at UCLA by her students. Who better to answer how Gen Z uses media than a slightly older member of Gen Z (albeit one in college)? Students were asked to investigate a child’s (age 2 to 25) media habits and practices, in order to learn more about current media use in real life. The goal of the interview was to listen with an open mind, observe and try to understand from a developmental perspective how the child interviewee interacted with media. We hope these interviews will give you some perspective into the media habits of kids and some insight into Gen Z.
